Extensive Hailstorm Damage – 209 MWp Photovoltaic Power Plant

A powerful cyclone caused widespread damage across Europe, significantly impacting Bulgaria as well. Our client, an Independent Power Producer (IPP), experienced substantial losses due to severe hailstorm damage at their 209 MWp photovoltaic power plant. The hailstorm inflicted both visible and hidden damages, including microscopic fractures known as “microcracks” in many solar modules, invisible to the naked eye yet critically impacting performance.
