Personal Experience

Dr. Yuriy Todorov is a highly respected specialist in the processing and analysis of complex insurance cases, with over 30 years of extensive experience in the insurance industry. Starting his career in 1992, Dr. Todorov has served as a head of department and director of claims and fraud detection units across six major insurance companies. Since 2004, he has also led the Association for Insurance Security (AIS), specializing in insurance event investigations and fraud prevention.

Dr. Todorov has successfully handled diverse and high-stakes claims for both Bulgarian and international insurers, including significant damages from fires, accidents, engineering failures, cargo incidents, and medical claims. His expertise is frequently sought for critical insurance assessments involving large retail thefts, transportation liabilities, aircraft damages, and complex industrial property evaluations.

Dr. Todorov holds a doctorate in Insurance from Varna Free University “Chernorizets Hrabar” and contributes to academia as a lecturer at several Bulgarian universities.
